The most affordable way to obtain routine care is by going to a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). FQHCs are federally funded, nonprofit health centers or clinics that serve medically underserved areas and populations. Federally qualified health centers provide primary care services regardless of your ability to pay. Services are provided on a sliding scale fee based on your ability to pay[1].

One of the largest FQHC providers in Long Island is Hudson River Health Care (HRHCare). They provide services such as Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Dentistry, Nutritional Counseling, health resources, etc[2]. Furthermore, if they cannot provide you with a service you need or you can't afford it, they can connect you with resources in the community that can help you.
