NYS Emergency Medicaid

Medicaid payment is provided for care and services necessary for the treatment of an emergency medical condition, to otherwise eligible temporary non-immigrants (e.g., certain foreign students, visitors/tourists) and undocumented (illegal) aliens. To be eligible for treatment of an emergency medical condition, an undocumented alien or temporary non-immigrant must meet all eligibility requirements, including proof of identity, income and State residence[1].

DACA recipients should be able to apply for full NYS medicaid[2].

In order to apply, visit the NY State of Health website. If there are any problems applying online, call the help line at 1-855-355-5777 (help available in 27 languages).
